Pop Culture, or popular culture, refers to the recognized and shared social references across diverse societies and often includes a broad range of movies, music, television, games, cartoons, sports, news, politics, and fashion. Looking at a large variety of subjects and sources that includes everything from fictional characters to current events, these pop culture resources are created to further share data about the popular trends of our time. This is often associated with the rise of mass consumerism. Pop culture is often viewed as trivial, or mainstream. But it is actually a lot of fun. The following collections have been created for you as a survey of the various characters, heroes, villains, celebrities, and topics that are shared around the world. These resources will be constantly expanded over time in an effort to further illustrate and document the many topics and issues related to Pop Culture.
Jimmy Kimmel is a popular talk show host best known for his own late night talk show show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jimmy Kimmel got his start in radio and was greatly inspired by David Letterman. Kimmel went on to attend Arizona State University and began hosting radio shows.
