Ocicat

The Ocicat, named for its resemblance to the wild Ocelot, is a spotted cat with a lithe, muscular body. An extremely devote and loyal cate, the Ocicat tends to bond with one human in its household. Talkative, but not in an overbearing way, the Ocicat enjoys to communicate with his person and is very sensitive to verbal reprimands.

The Ocicat is the result of a mix of cat breeds; the first Ocicat was Dalai Dotson, an Abyssinian-Siamese mix. However, when Dalai Dotson was recognized as a Ocicat the CFA incorrectly noted her as an Abyssinian-American Shorthair mix. Once the mistake was discovered, Siamese was added, but American Shorthair was not removed, so the breed is now known as a mix of three different cat breeds, Siamese-Abyssinian-American Shorthair.

Ocicat Cats have an overall height of 9”-11” (23-28 cm), body length of 13”-16” (33-41 cm), and weight between 6-14 lb (2.7-6.4 kg). Ocicat Cats have a typical lifespan between 15-18 years.

Peterbald Cat

The Peterbald, named for its rise to fame in St. Petersburg, Russia, is a nearly-naked or completely bald cat known for its loyalty and affection. The Peterbald resulted as a mix between a Don Sphynx cat and Oriental Shorthair. Peterbalds range in coat length from ultra-bald, without eyebrows and whiskers and almost “sticky” skin, to a short, straight coat.

Peterbalds’ coats can also change over their lifespans to either get longer or shorter. Another unique feature of the Peterbald are their long, webbed toes that allow them to hold and use objects more than other cats. Peterbalds are a relatively new breed, originating in 1994 in Russia. They remain a pretty rare and purebred cat breed.

Peterbald Cats have an overall height of 8”-12” (20-30 cm), body length of 12”-17” (30-43 cm), and weight between 6-12 lb (2.7-5.4 kg). Peterbald Cats have a typical lifespan between 10-13 years.

Dimensioned side elevation drawing of a Singapura Cat measured with typical heights and lengths

The Singapura cat is a natural breed originating from Singapore and once was used as a tourism mascot for the country. Ragamuffin Cat
Dimensioned drawing of a Ragamuffin Cat with common measurements for height and length

The Ragamuffin cat, a variant of the Ragdoll cat, is a heavy and substantial breed that fully mature at around five years of age. This muscular-bodied cat features a broad chest, head, and shoulders. Having patterns and markings unique to each cat, the Ragamuffin’s thick coat can come in all colors from solid, tabby and white, tortoise, or mink. Its fur, soft and plush to the touch, makes it look even larger than it already appears, especially around its face. The Ragamuffin is highly social and loves to cuddle, either falling limp in an owner’s arms or curling up in an owner’s lap.

The typical Ragamuffin Cat has an overall height of 9”-12” (23-28 cm) and body length of 12”-18” (30-46 cm). An average Ragamuffin weighs between 8-20 lb (3.6-9.1 kg) and has a typical lifespan of 15-18 years.
